Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Mental Health Specialist II to support individuals with intensive behavioral and mental health needs. You will work directly with clients using person-centered approaches to safety, skill-building, and positive engagement.

The role includes implementing behavior and treatment plans, crisis-prevention strategies, and de-escalation techniques, while documenting progress and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with individuals with chronic and severe mental illness or a related degree.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intensive behavioral and mental health needs using person-centered approaches focused on safety, skills building, and positive engagement.
• Support individuals per behavior support and treatment plans, crisis-prevention strategies, and de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain a safe, structured living environment and assist with daily living skills, transportation, and community engagement.
• Document services, observations, health concerns, and activities using electronic systems (T-logs, Therap, etc.).
• Collaborate with team and participate in trainings to mentor new staff.
