Mass General Brigham is seeking a patient care associate to support Registered Nurses in direct patient care at our Belmont site. The role involves documenting patient information, participating in rounds, and maintaining therapeutic patient relationships within the milieu.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and exposure to Epic training is required within 30 days. One year of clinical experience, preferably in psychiatry, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with others.
• Must complete and pass Epic training within 30 days of hire.
• Epic training modules must be passed (80%+).
• One year of clinical experience preferred, psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the RN in providing direct patient care.
• Accurate and timely documentation of AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries.
• Participate in patient rounds or teams.
• Complete patient care assignments.
• Identify behaviors that may lead to crisis and use de-escalation techniques.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN.
• Follow Standards of Care and unit protocols.
• Assist patients in activities of daily living.
