A regional healthcare provider in Opelika, Alabama, is seeking a Mental Health Security professional to ensure the safety of patients and staff. The ideal candidate will manage multiple priorities, demonstrate independent decision-making, and handle non-compliant behaviors using CPI techniques. Applicants should hold a high school diploma, a valid Driver’s License, and be willing to obtain BLS and CPI certifications shortly after hire. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Formación

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of DOH/Transfer.
• Background in law enforcement, security work or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• The Mental Health Security is responsible for ensuring the safety of the patients and the staff on the unit. They will be asked to handle multiple priorities and to show independent discretion/decision making skills. They will need to make decisions under pressure, manage stress and work well with others. They will need to manage non-compliant behaviors using appropriate CPI techniques.
