CooperRiis in Asheville, NC seeks a Full-Time Resident Support Specialist to provide relationship-oriented coaching and support to residents, helping them achieve personal goals and maintain health and safety.

You will help residents participate in activities, assist with room cleaning, transport to appointments, and respond as a first responder during on-call hours, while documenting progress and incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in a role with individuals whose lives are impeded by mental illness.
• 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be on organization’s auto insurance

Responsabilités

• Assures the health and safety of resident and responds immediately to concerns and completes check-ins
• Participates and encourages participation of residents in recreational, social, and cultural activities
• Facilitates spontaneous social experiences for residents who are not participating in scheduled activities
• Supports residents with room cleaning and helps out in general with the cleaning of common areas of the building
• Transports residents to scheduled appointments as needed
• Is a first responder for on-call services in the evening hours
• Responsible for documentation for assigned residents

Schedule:

Salary:

$19.00 per hour and increases based on experience
