Job summary

CooperRiis, Inc. is seeking a Resident Support Staff-Direct Care PRN in Mill Spring, NC to assist with activities and resident care. The role includes leading recreational and cultural activities and supporting residents in their recovery plans.

The position is PRN with a schedule including days, evenings, and overnight shifts. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with a retirement plan with company match and free meals on shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience working with adults with mental health challenges.
• Ability to assist with crisis management and de-escalation.
• Experience engaging residents in social, recreational, and cultural activities.

Responsibilities

• Helps lead recreational, social, and cultural activities.
• Encourages participation and can facilitate other activities as needed for residents who aren’t participating in the planned activities.
• Support residents in their recovery plans and goals.
• Fill in for Lodge Advisors as needed.
• Provides support in crisis management.
• Assists with procedures such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer, and medication administration.
• Transports and accompanies residents on community-based trips, outings, social, and cultural activities.
