Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders in healthcare facilities. You will follow physicians' and nurses' instructions, monitor patients' safety, and report concerns to the medical team.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, adherence to professional standards, and eligibility for benefit programs including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Care for individuals with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders per physician instructions.
• Monitor patients’ safety and emotional well-being.
• Report findings to medical staff.

Education

Job description

The Behavioral Health Technician cares for individuals withpsychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders,following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners.The Behavioral Health Technician monitors patients’ safety, physical andemotional well-being and report directly to medical staff.

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
