Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders in healthcare facilities across New Mexico.

You will follow physician and nursing instructions, monitor safety and wellbeing, and report changes to medical staff. Travel assignments are available in Las Vegas and Albuquerque with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements).
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Care for individuals with psychiatric conditions and a variety of substance use disorders as directed by physicians and nurses.
• Monitor patients’ safety, physical and emotional well‑being.
• Report changes and progress directly to medical staff.
