Job summary

The Behavioral Health Technician position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing supports individuals with psychiatric conditions and a variety of substance use disorders. Working under physicians and nurses, you will monitor patients’ safety, physical and emotional wellbeing and report directly to medical staff.

Travel to facilities in Maine is required, with per diem scheduling. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma; an associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred (or per facility requirements).
• Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Care for individuals with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders under physicians and nurses.
• Monitor patients’ safety, physical and emotional wellbeing and report to medical staff.
