Job summary

Washington County BHDS is seeking a County Mental Health Program Specialist 1-Planning & Development to help coordinate adult and transition-age mental health programs across the county. You will monitor compliance, oversee services, and prepare reports to support program goals.

This full-time role requires two years of professional experience in mental health and a bachelor’s degree, PA residency, and successful completion of background checks and a medical/drug screen.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional level experience in mental health.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor service providers for adherence to federal, state, and local mandates and guidelines.
• Service Oversight: Oversee assigned services and address needs as they arise.
• Documentation Management: Create reports and maintain records related to assigned duties.
• Committee Participation: Represent the program on designated committees and support related activities.
• Incident Management: Assist with incident documentation and follow up discussions with providers.
• Community Engagement: Attend trainings and outreach events to maintain knowledge and support program goals.
