Mental Health Professional - Pittsburgh - Full Time

Overview

The Mental Health Professional will provide clinical treatment services to targeted populations. This outpatient program serves patients with mental health diagnoses who meet criteria for outpatient and/or partial hospitalization treatment.

Responsibilities
  1. Create treatment plans for physicians, including therapeutic, supportive, and other services for patients with diverse needs and diagnoses. (40%)
  2. Discuss additional services with the clinical team to determine appropriateness; refer patients to other care levels, community programs, or social services as needed. (10%)
  3. Document assessments, treatment sessions, contacts, case management, and other work according to guidelines. (10%)
  4. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. (5%)
  5. Track when Behavioral Health Treatment Plans are due for updates and inform physicians. (10%)
  6. Serve as a liaison to ensure patient care requirements are met, participating in meetings as assigned. (5%)
  7. Conduct assessments of new patients, document findings, and implement treatment models as instructed. (20%)
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education (School Counseling), or related field
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association)
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance
