Job summary

Decatur Manor Healthcare LLC is seeking Mental Health Professionals (MHP) to support residents with chronic psychiatric disorders in Decatur, IL. This full-time position covers evening (3p-11p) and night (11p-3a) shifts under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional.

Applicants should have a B.A. in Psychology or Human Services and at least five years of relevant experience, plus strong organizational, assessment, and active listening skills.

Qualifications

• B.A. in Psychology or Human Services required.
• Minimum five years of experience with individuals with psychiatric disorders.
• Experience under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional or other Social Service Professional.
• Not Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical team to create treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic plans and activities with compassion.
• Recognize, note and inform team when a resident is not at baseline.
• Lead groups and hold one-on-one sessions.
• Crisis management and intervention.
• Carry a caseload of 30-40 individuals.
• Complete all necessary documentation.

Requirements of the Mental Health Professional (MHP):

• B.A. in Psychology or other Human Services major or,
• Five (5) years of prior experience with individuals with psychiatric disorders not developmental disorders , and working under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional or other Social Service Professional -- NOT NURSING
• Organizational and time management skills
• Analytical, assessment and active listening skills

NEW Rates are $20-24 per hour depending on benefits selected.
