Job summary

The State of South Carolina seeks a Mental Health Professional II for the Office of Mental Health, Waccamaw Center Mental Health, in Conway. You will provide assessment, counseling and interventions for patients with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities across Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg counties.

Under supervision, you’ll develop treatment plans, coordinate with families and other providers, and maintain documentation in compliance with OMH policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences.
• Two years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Must meet OMH Credentialing requirements including specified graduate coursework.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, counseling and interventions to patients with serious mental health illnesses or IDD/ASD.
• Coordinate treatment plans and ensure linkage to services across care teams.
• Document care and oversee billing disallowances to minimize waste.
• Work with families, caregivers, and school/residential staff as part of the treatment team.
