SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Santee-Wateree MHC, Camden, SC, seeks a Mental Health Professional II / ACT Team Lead to oversee an Assertive Community Treatment team providing evidenced-based services to adults with serious mental illness.

The role focuses on clinical supervision, treatment planning, and ensuring compliance with standards while coordinating care across community settings.

Qualifications

Master's degree in guidance counseling or the social sciences or related field.
Licensed as psychologist, LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT.
Three years of experience with adults with serious mental illness and two years post graduate experience.
Ability to lift 5 lbs and operate a state vehicle; travel required.

Responsibilities

Oversee the administrative operations of the team.
Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and ethical practices.
Provide direct services to ACT service beneficiaries.
Ensure services are documented in accordance with CARF, SCOMH, SWMHC/QA Corporate Compliance HIPAA, Transcultural, and Productivity Standards, Policies and procedures, and requirements.
Provide direct supervision to ACT team members including supervising meetings, treatment team meetings, coordinating training, and evaluations.
Ensure a department commitment to cultural affairs and entails cultural affairs in planning documents.

This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Santee-Wateree MHC, 2611 Liberty Hill Rd., Camden, 29020.

You will lead an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team providing evidenced based services in an intensive non-residential treatment and rehabilitative services in accordance with the fidelity model. This is a single fixed point of responsibility for treatment, rehabilitation, and support needs for patients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) who require higher levels of community care and have not been well supported in lower level of care options.

Responsibilities For The Mental Health Professional II

Oversee the administrative operations of the team.
Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best and ethical practices.
Provide direct services to ACT service beneficiaries.
Ensure services are documented in accordance with CARF, SCOMH, SWMHC/QA Corporate Compliance HIPAA, Transcultural, and Productivity Standards, Policies and procedures, and requirements.
Provide direct supervision to ACT team members to include but not limited to facilitating clinical supervision meetings, treatment team meetings, coordinating training for team and completing evaluations.
Ensure a department commitment to cultural affairs and ensures all direct reports have a cultural affairs component to his or her planning document as a measurable objective.
Comply with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan and ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.
Pursue professional development through collegial consultation, continuing education, and licensure.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A master's degree in guidance counseling or the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human services, or social service program.
Must be licensed as licensed Psychologist, LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT.
Three (3) years of experience working with adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and a minimum of two (2) years of post graduate experience.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to lift 5lbs.
Ability to operate a state vehicle.
Travel throughout the Santee-Wateree catchment area.

Preferred Qualifications

Supervisory experience
Experience working with adults with Serious Mental Illness.
Bi-lingual abilities in English and Spanish (or other language) are a plus.
