The Department of Child, Family, & Population Health Nursing has an outstanding opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner (PFR Provider). This temporary hourly appointment, beginning as soon as possible or at the convenience of the employer and employee.
The Mental Health Practitioner will be an integral part of the research study team for a federally-funded research project titled A Dyadic Approach to Perinatal Depression Treatment in Primary care a community-based program adapted to be delivered online through telehealth for women in their third trimester of pregnancy. The selected provider will deliver the Promoting First Relationships- BRIEF (six sessions) program to participants enrolled in the research study. The aim of the study is to test the effectiveness of Promoting First Relationships -BRIEF in comparison to Usual Care to improve parenting, improve parents’ knowledge of social and emotional development, and reduce children’s social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
