Job summary

West Coast University is seeking a Nursing Faculty member to guide nursing students and contribute to curriculum in a student-centered, innovation-driven environment. You will mentor, teach, and assess learners, integrate simulation and clinical experiences, and support continuous program improvement.

Requirements include a Master’s in nursing and RN licensure, with at least two years of direct patient care and one year in teaching. Monday day shifts with some weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing
• Professional nurse licensure required
• Minimum two years direct patient care as an RN
• Minimum one year in the field they teach

Responsibilities

• Mentor, role model and facilitator providing academic support for students.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the learning process.
• Apply skills to the assigned teaching schedule.
• Participate in assessment activities for courses and curriculum.
• Contribute to improvement of class materials and syllabi.
• Use diverse teaching methodologies to achieve learning outcomes.
• Maintain scholarly activities and professional growth.
• Engage in service in accordance with university policies.
• Leverage Simulation and Innovation Labs and other resources.
• If in clinical settings, supervise students and clarify expectations with facilities, assess knowledge and safety, and provide feedback.
