Qualifikationen

• Ability to observe patients/residents' physical or emotional status and refer deviations to supervisor
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and health professionals
• Ability to provide a range of patient/resident care and contribute to the nurse care plan

Aufgaben

• Utilizes glucose monitoring machine to receive glucose readings and refer deviations
• Provides direct care for complex veterans
• Observes changes in patient condition and acts per protocol
• Documents care and responses in appropriate forms
• Administers tracheostomy care and suctioning as required
• Monitors intake and output and reports deviations timely
• Performs basic nursing procedures within scope of practice
• Participates in Treatment Planning meetings
• Mentors and precepts other NAs
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and participates in infection control
