Job summary

Socket.dev is hiring for a licensed psychiatric technician or LVN to provide medical treatment, crisis intervention, and medication support in a California setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and respond to patient needs, coordinate care with physicians, and document care plans.

The role includes administering First Aid, offering crisis support to families, and participating in 24-hour program operations with competitive benefits and defined contribution plans.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program and at least one year of full-time paid human services experience.
• Current State of California registration as LVN or LPT; First Aid certification; ability to obtain required clearances.
• Experience with medication support systems and working with individuals with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical treatment, crisis intervention, medication support and rehabilitation services within scope of practice for individuals with mental illness.
• Implement client medication support systems and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Assist clients in seeking and receiving medical care and coordinate physician visits.
• Provide crisis consultation to families, public and law enforcement agencies.
• Complete clinical records and documentation using appropriate systems.
• Provide transportation for clients and program needs.
• Administer First Aid in emergency situations.
