Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Longview is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to deliver bedside nursing care for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression, and related conditions. You will document findings, support the treatment plan, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, and ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN/LPN license in the state of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.
• CPR certification required and de-escalation training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Accurately document findings in the patient record and communicate with care team.
• Implement care interventions per the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
• Perform bedside labs, wound care, and assist with ADLs.
• Support patient coping and provide age-appropriate communication.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on meds.
• Transcribe orders and perform chart audits per facility guidelines.
• Provide leadership and precept new staff as needed.
