Job summary

Oceans Healthcare in Longview is seeking a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse to provide nursing care for adults and seniors with mental health needs, under supervision of a registered nurse.

You will document findings, implement care plans, administer medications, support patients, communicate with the care team, mentor new staff, and uphold facility policies and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN license in state of employment (or Compact license).
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work in high-stress environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to adults and seniors per unit protocol under RN supervision.
• Documents findings in patient records and communicates results to care team.
• Implements care plans and nursing interventions with other providers.
• Performs bedside tasks, wound care, and ADLs assistance.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients about medications.
• Ensures chart accuracy and continuity of care; participates in rounds and handoffs.
• Provides leadership and precepts to new staff; follows facility policies.
