Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Mental Health Lead for a federal facility in Texas, overseeing delivery of mental health services and supervising clinical staff in a secure clinic environment.

The role requires a master’s or doctoral degree, Texas licensure, 3+ years clinical experience and 1+ year leadership, with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention expertise; telehealth support and compliance with regulations are key.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related mental health field.
• Current, unrestricted Texas license (LCSW, LPC, PsyD, PhD).
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in mental health care.
• At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary mental health team.
• Oversee mental health assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to mental health providers.
• Develop and implement mental health protocols and crisis intervention strategies.
• Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and administrative staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate staff training on trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity.
• Support telehealth integration and remote care coordination.
• Respond to urgent and emergent mental health situations.
