Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social sciences or criminal justice; two years’ experience working with individuals with mental illness and substance abuse disorders who have entered the criminal justice system preferred.
• Good assessment and disposition skills are essential; knowledge of community resources and experience with community advocacy helpful.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license and a safe driving record. Must be able to provide up to date proof of current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of services at all levels of the criminal justice process from pre-arrest to probation.
• Identify mental health status, review records, develop and implement treatment plans.
• Documentation of services in accordance with jail and agency standards; ability to handle stress.
