Sheppard Pratt in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a direct care professional for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. This in-person, dayshift role supports group activities, medication safety, and individual service plans while helping clients transition to community living.

Responsibilities include group work, ensuring medication compliance, transportation to appointments, meal prep, and documenting follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• SERVSAFE certification upon hire or within 60 days.
• Driver’s license with 3 points or less and insured vehicle.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Works with clients in group settings to learn skills for community living.
• Ensures medication safety with proper dosage and cleanliness.
• Collaborates to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provides transportation to clients’ medical appointments.
• Advocacy throughout appointments; document follow-up instructions.
• Assists team with meal prep and distribution for meals.
