Allegheny Health Network is seeking a proactive professional to provide initial needs assessment for individuals with potential mental health or chemical dependency concerns. You will coordinate appropriate services and referrals, assisting public agencies and physicians with involuntary commitments when needed.

The role requires collaboration within the unit, coverage across hospital duties, and strong communication to ensure accurate assessment and disposition of patient needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Social Work, psychology or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in assessment, crisis intervention, working with individuals with mental health problems, addiction or developmental disabilities.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Utilizes AHN's Core Behaviors to collaborate for appropriate assessment, plan, and disposition.
• Engages as part of the unit team to provide coverage per Hospital responsibility.
• Provides backup coverages to units including responding to organizational codes.
• Effectively communicates all aspects of patient needs utilizing team collaboration, identifying appropriate referral, and disposition.
