Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor to provide comprehensive mental health services within a VA system.

Role requires CACREP-accredited education, full independent licensure, and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team. Telehealth may be utilized to deliver care with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices and patient-centered treatment.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related CACREP-accredited program.
• Full, current license to independently practice as an LPMHC; licensure required or waiver may apply.
• U.S. citizenship and English language proficiency as per VA standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage in intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation; provide continuum of care.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling leveraging evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and coordinate with other VA services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and telehealth delivery where applicable.
