Job summary

US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (GS-9/11) to deliver clinical counseling services within VHA. The role requires CACREP-accredited education, an independent license, and experience in intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in CACREP-accredited counseling field.
• Full, current, unrestricted license for independent practice as LPMHC.
• Experience with intake, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Engage in intake and assessment, problem identification, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provide individual, group, or family counseling interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise trainees where permitted.
