Company Description
Asheville Family Counseling (AFC) is a collaborative, clinician-led group practice in Asheville, NC, specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. We believe healing happens in the context of safe, supportive relationships — and that includes the relationships we have with our colleagues.
Founded by a former nurse-midwife and grounded in attachment-based, trauma-informed care, our team offers high-quality therapy services with heart, integrity, and innovation. We are known for our Couples Counseling Intensives, child and adolescent therapy, and strong community partnerships.
At AFC, we’re not just helping clients — we’re building a team of compassionate professionals who are deeply supported, fairly compensated, and encouraged to grow both clinically and creatively.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote position. We’re currently seeking a counselor licensed in North Carolina who enjoys working with individual adults and also has interest in working with couples. Our highest client demand is for couples therapy, so ideal candidates will be trained in or open to modalities such as EFT or the Gottman Method.
If you're not interested in working with couples, we're still open to candidates who bring a strong specialty in a high-demand area, particularly healing attachment trauma using approaches like EMDR, IFS, or somatic therapies.
