GEO Secured Services is hiring a mental health clinician to provide a full range of outpatient services, including initial assessment, treatment planning, supportive counseling, case management, aftercare planning, and crisis intervention.

The role emphasizes collaboration with security and medical teams, crisis response, and seamless documentation. A master’s degree and state licensure are required, with preference for experience in institutional settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
• State licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Professional or Mental Health Counselor (if license eligibility, provide documentation).
• Licensed interns may be considered with an approved clinical supervisor.
• One year (1) of experience providing mental health services in an institutional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health interviews, screenings, and evaluations to determine appropriate services and treatment plans.
• Provide supportive mental health services: brief individual and group counseling (process or psycho-educational) and specialty groups (e.g., anger management).
• Provide case management to ensure continuity of service delivery.
• Prepare mental health documentation following organizational and state standards in a clear, timely manner.
• Consult with Security, Medical, Classification and other departments as needed.
• Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention including involuntary hospitalization or placement under observation when needed.
