Commonwealth of VA Careers seeks a Mental Health Clinician I at Greensville Correctional Center to provide crisis intervention, therapy, and treatment planning for inmates under supervision. The role supports the facility's mental health services and program development.

A graduate degree in a mental health field is required, with QMHP eligibility preferred. Opportunity includes a $5,000 split sign-on bonus or up to $10,000 in student loan repayment for eligible new hires.

Qualifikationen

• Training and experience in treating mental disorders.
• Ability to develop intervention and treatment plans.
• Ability to provide individual and group counseling/therapy.
• Knowledge of psychopathology, diagnostic nomenclature, psychological theory and ethics.
• Ability to provide training and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Aufgaben

• Provide mental health services to inmates including crisis intervention, screening, report writing, therapy, treatment planning and release planning under supervision.
• Screen, track, and monitor inmates with mental health needs across units; develop and monitor services and programs.
• Involve in special units or programs and serve as a consultant to Administration, Security, Treatment and Community Corrections staff.
• Provide in-service training.
