Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) seeks a Mental Health Professional I to provide crisis intervention, assessments, and therapy services at the Manning clinic. Under limited supervision, you will coordinate with community agencies and maintain essential documentation to support clients’ wellness and continuity of care.

Travel throughout the Santee-Wateree MHC catchment area and participation in after-hours coverage are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or related field.
• Ability to travel throughout the Santee-Wateree MHC catchment area as directed.
• Ability to operate non-adaptive vehicles and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, assessment, triage, and case management services.
• Provide individual and group therapy as needed.
• Maintain billable Patient Care Hours (PCH) as assigned.
• Refer patients to appropriate community agencies and coordinate with Liaison for Crisis Department.
• Complete and maintain documentation per policy and regulations.
