Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) is seeking a Mental Health Professional I in Manning, SC. The role focuses on crisis intervention, comprehensive assessments, and coordination of care to support long-term wellness for individuals and families in the Santee-Wateree region.

The position requires a master’s degree in guidance, counseling, or a related field. Travel within the catchment area and after-hours coverage may be required. Full-time benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, assessment, triage, and case management services to identify consumers of the Manning Clinic to include comprehensive initial clinical assessment and provide diagnostic impressions.
• Serve as liaison with other community hospitals. Provide individual and group therapy as needed.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation per policy and according to Federal, State and Center policy and procedure.
• Work closely with community agencies to provide continuity of care and integrated services for identified consumers.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working with Mobile Crisis Department during the day that may require onsite community assessments.
