Location: MMC Southern Campus, 600 River Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701

Job Overview:

The Clinician provides clinical assessment, crisis intervention, outreach, and service delivery coordination for children and adolescents within the Children’s Crisis Intervention System (CCIS), as part of MMC Southern Campus Psychiatric Screening Services. The Clinician responds to the emotional needs of children and adolescents requesting assistance and evaluates adults as needed.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related clinical field
• Certified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or immediate certification with six months of hire required
• Two years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services
• BEST training

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time
• Night Shift
• 36 hours per week

Essential Functions:

• Acts as a liaison between county screening agencies and designated case management agencies
• Attends staff meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as per policies
• Reports unusual situations or incidents encountered during emergency services to the Director of Emergency Services
• Monitors and collects relevant data on the functioning of the child mental health system
• Provides consultation to community agencies on child mental health issues
• Performs other duties as assigned
