Job summary

Rivermont Schools seeks a dedicated Mental Health Associate to support students with emotional and behavioral needs across elementary to high school levels. You will aid academics, daily routines, and positive behavior within a therapeutic, collaborative team.

Work with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, individualized support and a calm, structured learning environment that fosters independence and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Strong communication, reading, and writing skills, with good documentation.
• Reliable, punctual, adaptable team player.
• Patient, calm, and resilient when supporting escalated students.
• Passion for helping students with learning or behavioral differences.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academics, social skills, and daily living needs across age groups.
• Observe behavior, document notes, and share updates with the team to adjust strategies.
• Support self-help skills including toileting, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence.
• Use de-escalation and calming strategies to maintain a supportive environment.
• Partner with teachers, therapists, BCBAs, and parents to provide consistent support.
