San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in Central Texas, seeks a Mental Health Associate (MHA) to join the clinical team. This role supports daily program schedules, ensures patient safety, and documents care and safety concerns with colleagues.

The position is 24 hours per week with shifts 6a-2p, 2p-10p, or 10p-6a and requires weekend availability; on-site benefits include paid training and a comprehensive

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Behavioral health experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and pass background checks.

• Support daily program schedule for patients and ensure safety.
• Accurately document clinical and administrative information and communicate concerns with the team.
• Collaborate with staff to provide a therapeutic environment for youths.

San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas! San Marcos spreads across 65-acres with an abundance of trees and wildlife. We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

Our Mental Health Associates (MHA) position is on the front lines of treatment for the children in our care. Providinga safe and therapeutic environment, is the primary responsibility to include implementation of the daily program schedule. As a member of the clinical team, accurate clinical and administrative documentation is required as well as communication with co-workers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.

Qualifications

Mental Health Associate (MHA) Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Able to pass a Criminal Background check and Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
