San Marcos Treatment Center is a psychiatric residential facility in Central Texas serving youths aged 6 to 17. The Mental Health Associate (MHA) role supports the daily program schedule and contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment within a 212-bed campus.

As a frontline clinician, you will document clinical and administrative information accurately and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to pass a Criminal Background check and Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

• Implement the daily program schedule for residents.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
• Communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.

Responsibilities

This position is for 24 hours a week.

Shifts Available: 6a - 2p, 2p - 10p and 10p - 6a. Must have weekend shift availability.

San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas! San Marcos spreads across 65-acres with an abundance of trees and wildlife. We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

Our Mental Health Associates (MHA) position is on the front lines of treatment for the children in our care. Providinga safe and therapeutic environment, is the primary responsibility to include implementation of the daily program schedule. As a member of the clinical team, accurate clinical and administrative documentation is required as well as communication with co-workers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.
