Job summary

The University of Kentucky Healthcare is seeking a Mental Health Associate to support licensed clinicians in delivering care to children and adolescents (5–17) and adults with primary psychiatric diagnoses. The position is full-time with three 12.5-hour shifts weekly (11:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.), including some weekends and holidays.

Requires a BS; no experience required. CPR/BCLS and CPI certifications, medical terminology knowledge, and scheduling flexibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree is required.
• CPR/BCLS certification and CPI certification are preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility is important.
• 1–3 years of experience in an allied health field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist a licensed provider in delivering patient care to pediatric (5–17) and adult patients with primary psychiatric diagnoses.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain patient safety during care.
• Assist with patient assessment and monitoring as assigned.
