Job summary

Arbour Hospital in Jamaica Plain, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Lead Mental Health Associate to join its compassionate behavioral health team. You will help provide safe, therapeutic care and support for patients and families across an inpatient and aftercare continuum.

You will work every other weekend with shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend hours, contributing to a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• College student who have obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Impeccable Judgment & professionalism.
• Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment.
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs.

The Mental Health Associate

is a vital part of Arbour Hospital’s treatment team. Our positions require employees to work every other weekend and there is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts.
