Job summary

Men’s Wearhouse, a Tailored Brands division, is seeking a Retail Store Tailor—Alterations to provide expert alterations and exceptional service. You’ll greet customers, assess requests, and expertly mark, alter, and press garments to ensure a perfect fit.

You’ll work with a team to maintain shop cleanliness, answer questions, and suggest wardrobe pieces while upholding our standards of quality and customer care.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training preferred.
• Experience as a menswear tailor highly preferred.
• Good technical skill.
• Knowledge of various sewing equipment types.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team attitude and enthusiasm.
• Proficiency in all basic and advanced alterations of men’s tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper fit of garments.
• Answer customer questions.
• Mark garments for tailoring.
• Press garments.
• Maintain an open dialogue with management.
• Help other team members.
• Keep the tailor shop clean and organized.
• Ensure customers are properly sized.
• Offer wardrobe ensemble suggestions.
