Job summary

Tailored Brands, operating Men’s Wearhouse stores, is seeking a Retail Store Tailor—Alterations to assist customers with alterations and tailoring, ensuring garments fit perfectly and look attractive. You will mark, alter, press, and press fabrics, while maintaining a clean, organized shop and collaborating with management.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong tailoring skills, and a proactive team attitude to support diverse store operations.

Qualifications

• Formal tailoring training preferred.
• Experience as a menswear tailor highly preferred.
• Good technical sewing skill.
• Knowledge of various sewing equipment types.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team attitude and enthusiasm.
• Proficiency in basic and advanced alterations of men's tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Greet, interact with, and respond to customers with any special requests.
• Apply extensive alterations knowledge to mark, alter, and press garments selected by customers.
• Ensure proper fit of garments.
• Answer customer questions.
• Mark garments for tailoring.
• Press garments.
• Maintain an open dialogue with management.
• Help other team members.
• Keep the tailor shop clean and organized.
• Make sure customers are properly sized.
• Offer new wardrobe ensemble suggestions.
