Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a Mendix & AI Application Development Intern for Spring 2027 under the Strategic Student Program. You will work on Mendix apps, AI agents, and GPT tools to drive process improvements in our enterprise environment.

You will collaborate with mentors, gain hands-on experience in low-code development, Python scripting, and AI integration, and have opportunities for full-time offers after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Hybrid work in Livonia, MI (at least 2 days in the office).
• Experience with Mendix or low-code development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Low-code development: Use Mendix to extend existing internal applications and build new applications for internal and external partner productivity and reporting.
• AI Integration & Scripting: Use Python to integrate and optimize GPT-based solutions for processes already identified by our teams.
• Process Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to transform these identified opportunities into practical, real-world improvements.
• Documentation & Best Practices: Document your work clearly, create easy-to-follow best practices, and catalog any specialized prompts or scripts for future use.
• Primarily work on extended development of our resource request application built on Mendix. Other activities may include building Ai agents and bots in our internal GPT tool for partner sales and technical resources to leverage and interact with.
