Tillys in Irvine, CA is seeking a Buyer to manage assigned merchandise areas, drive sales and margins, and lead a small buying team. You will develop assortments, partner with marketing and visual teams, and ensure plans meet customer needs.

This role requires strong merchandising and analytical skills, 5 years of buying experience, and proficiency with Excel/Word in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Strong merchandising, product, and analytical skills.
• Retail math literacy and application to daily operations.

Responsabilités

• Meet planned sales, margin and inventory turnover goals.
• Develop and implement merchandise assortment strategies.
• Oversee brand development and product development.
• Lead and develop Associate/Assistant Buyer and Admin staff.
• Collaborate with Allocation, Marketing and Visual teams.
• Monitor performance vs. plan to identify trends.
• Manage merchandising offerings including selection, promotion and disposition.
• Develop customer-driven assortments aligned with financial plans.
• Forecast with planning team based on trends and market changes.
• Observe market trends at trade shows and translate to product plans.
• Visit stores to evaluate mix and translate findings into plans.
• Maintain relationships with vendors.
