Job summary

Simpson College in Indianola, IA is seeking an Assist Head Coach for the men’s gymnastics team. You will support coaching, recruit talent, and oversee travel logistics to ensure competitive performance.

You will help design workouts for three events, set lineups for competitions, and participate in on-campus recruiting. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree and NCAA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience coaching optional level or higher
• NCAA experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in the direction of workouts; create and execute training plans for 3 events.
• Coach at competitions; set lineups; travel to all away competitions; know routines and be prepared for inquiries.
• Recruit prospective student athletes; assess skill level; communicate with prospective athletes; participate in on-campus recruiting trips.
• Manage travel plans; book flights, rental cars, hotels; drive rental vehicles when necessary; help coordinate meals.
• Assist and participate in athlete development programs; freshmen check-ins; captain meetings.
