Qualifications

  • PhD or EdD in sport management or related field (ABD considered).
  • Evidence of successful, innovative college-level teaching with the ability to utilize classroom technology.
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to each individual student’s needs for success.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with colleagues to facilitate student experiential learning, research, and internship opportunities.
  • Willingness to participate in department activities, service to the college, and ability to work with faculty, staff, and students in a collegial and cooperative manner.

Responsibilities

  • Teach six courses per year, consistent with departmental need and candidate’s training and interests.
  • Contribute to student success and recruitment, engage in the general education program, advise students and student clubs, and incorporate experiential learning into coursework.
  • Help the department explore graduate opportunities in the field.
