Job summary

Tailored Brands, Inc. in New York seeks a Design Associate, Accessories to join our menswear fashion design team.

You will apply knowledge of menswear design to push concepts, select fabrics and colors, and work with cross-functional partners to bring seasonal collections to life. The role requires 2–3 years of design experience, strong technical sketching ability, and proficiency in Illustrator, PLM, Photoshop and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design/merchandising/marketing or related field.
• 2–3 years of design experience in menswear.
• Knowledge of menswear, merchandising and technical design.
• Experience with garment construction, trims, fabrics and fits.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical and strategic thinking under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research on silhouettes, fabrics, colors and seasonal initiatives.
• Approve lab dips and coordinate with fabric/trim teams.
• Define product details aligning with the design roadmap.
• Prepare and update tech packs and seasonal books.
• Support Design Director on brand development and presentations.
• Input information into PLM when required.
• Coordinate seasonal sample requests with the product development team.
