Job summary

Bryant & Stratton College’s Wisconsin Athletic Department seeks an Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach to support the program under the Head Coach. The role emphasizes positional coaching, weight-training supervision, and film review to advance team performance.

You will help with team meetings, practice planning, and recruitment activities while ensuring compliance with NJCAA rules and student-athlete eligibility. Travel with the team and represent the college professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Coaching volleyball experience at high school, club, or college level preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with weight training and player development strategies.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Familiar with Wisconsin and Midwest volleyball high schools and club teams.
• First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
• Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
• Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations is a plus.
• Clean driving record is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program with emphasis as a positional specialist.
• Assist with team and staff meetings, weight training supervision, and positional court coaching.
• Support film breakdown and review, becoming proficient enough to lead film sessions.
• Take game statistics and provide assistance in recruitment efforts, both digital and in-person.
• Attend all games, practices, and team events, and assist with additional tasks assigned by the head coach.
• Ensure compliance with NJCAA rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
• Become knowledgeable of all NJCAA volleyball rules and eligibility requirements.
• Supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling; ensure safety of staff and student-athletes.
• Assist with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting practices and matches.
• May be required to drive vans to volleyball games.
• Other duties may be assigned by the head coach and athletic director.
