Job summary

Advanced Optronics Inc. is seeking a hands-on Sensor Test Engineer to own MEMS device characterization and the tooling around it. You will build custom robotic test rigs, automate metrology, and maintain readout electronics and firmware for sensor data.

You will bridge R&D design with microfabrication and production, designing test systems to link performance to design decisions. We value a multidisciplinary engineer with mechatronics, electronics, and software skills who can translate

Qualifications

• Master's preferred or Bachelor's with 3+ years related work experience in electrical, mechanical, biomedical, robotics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing and building automated test or measurement setups combining mechanics, electronics, and software.
• Experience with motion control, machine vision, test instrumentation, and CAD for fixtures.
• Ability to read and change C/C++ firmware and work with sensor readouts.

Responsibilities

• Measurement and automation setups: design, build, and automate metrology and characterization setups with fixtures, stages, cameras, and readout electronics.
• Characterization and analysis: develop test plans, characterize impedance, noise, drift, and apply filtering/calibration to convert readings to bending/forces.
• Production tooling: help automate tooling and design jigs/fixtures to speed up production steps.
