Job description

TransportUS Systems is a premier medical transport company. Drivers should be courteous and friendly and able to deliver excellent customer service. Drivers must provide a current DMV printout when applying (valid 30 days from application), pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test, pass an FBI background check and pass a physical exam.

Full‑time/Part‑time positions ($18.00 - $20.00 per Hour).

Health and Welfare paid at $5.00 per hour on all hours up to 40 hours only.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑inspection checks on all vehicles before driving, ensuring all wheelchairs or other devices are properly secured.
• Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.
• Communicate with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding concerns or issues.
• Use cellular phones and navigate using GPS.
• Be self‑motivated, responsible, with good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Education & Training

• High school graduate or GED equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Valid CPR/First Aid card (preferred but not required).
• Valid TN driver’s license – Class F.
• Driver’s license held for at least five (5) years.
• No more than one moving violation or one at‑fault accident in the last three (3) years.

Working Conditions

Drivers must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and assist clients transferring from wheelchair to chair and vice versa.

Work Schedule

Work hours vary Monday‑Friday and may include occasional Saturdays and Sundays. Drivers must be able to work extra hours and on weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Pass the physical exam.
• Lift up to 100 lbs and push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Bend and pivot from waist, and move from standing to kneeling and back to standing.
