Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead engineers building memory-intensive, scalable services on AgentCore Memory. You will own global, high-throughput systems spanning control and data planes, with real-time ingestion and deployment across regions.

You will drive technical direction, recruit and coach top talent, partner with product and science teams, and ensure operational excellence while maintaining security and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• 1+ years of technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the SDLC.
• 1+ years of developing large-scale distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
• 1+ years of distributed programming experience.
• 5+ years of software engineer/related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of software development engineers, owning hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Own the delivery of a globally distributed, high-throughput service spanning control plane, data plane, and real-time ingestion pipelines.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to define roadmap and translate customer needs into plans.
• Drive operational excellence across multiple AWS regions with focus on availability, latency, and security.
• Set a high bar for engineering quality through design/code reviews and testing strategies.
• Manage dependencies and communicate status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
