The Columbia Presbyterian Community in Columbia, SC is seeking a Memory Support Care Partner to deliver compassionate, person-centered care for residents with memory impairment. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and report health changes to nursing staff. The role emphasizes safety, respect, and a warm, homelike environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous caregiving experience, preferably with memory support.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide emotional support and companionship to memory-impaired residents.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health to nursing staff.
• Help with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Participate in social and recreational activities with residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment.

Memory Support Care Partner Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents with memory impairments
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical and mental health to nursing staff
• Help residents with mobility and transfers as needed
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Participate in social and recreational activities with residents
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents

Required to have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably with memory support
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred to have:

• CPR certification
• Experience working as a Med Tech
• One year experience working in a Healthcare Setting in senior living.
