Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in Oak Park, IL is seeking an Enrichment Leader to plan and lead memory enrichment activities for seniors with cognitive disabilities in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. You will implement our therapeutic Whole Brain Fitness curriculum with empathy and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 6 months leading group activities with a special needs population.
• Ability to work the defined schedule which may include weekends.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Professional, pleasant and team-oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Leading and teaching small groups of cognitively impaired seniors in Whole Brain Fitness programs.
• Preparing materials and conducting relevant research to lead memory enrichment activities
• Assisting with cognitive assessments, tracking and documenting resident participation, and maintaining compliance documentation
