Job summary

Avalon Memory Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist residents with daily living activities in a memory care setting. The role involves following care plans, helping with transfers, and maintaining a clean, safe home environment.

Candidates should be patient, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and capable of working in a dementia care environment. CNA experience is preferred but not required; background checks and immunizations are required.

Qualifications

• Must be patient and understanding to care for residents with dementia.
• Must clear a criminal background check.
• Documentation of immunizations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
• Experience with seniors preferred; CNA is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and restroom assistance.
• Implement and support the resident care plans
• Assisting residents in transferring from bed to wheelchair or other locations
• Maintain a clean home for residents, including bedrooms, kitchen and laundry
• Provide medication assistance by reminding residents to take medications and observing administration
• Adhere to Alcohol and Drug Free workplace policy
• Other duties as required
